Kataem O’Connor | Actor

Kataem Enoth-Luwunzu O’Connor was born May 16th, 2000 in Toronto, Canada but grew up in the city of Scarborough. He is of Ugandan and Trinidadian descent. He started acting and modelling at the age of 10 with the support of his family. He has been featured in television shows such as DegrassiL.A Complex, Stephen King’s 11/22/63Raising Expectations, and The Expanse to name a few.  Kataem currently plays the recurring role of Adam Parker on the CBC series Heartland, one of Canada’s longest running television shows. He has been featured in print campaigns for American Eagle, The Bay and Sears.

At a very young age, Kataem gravitated to the sport of basketball and deemed it his first love. He has excelled in sports throughout his teenage years, taking a leadership role that helped lead his team to the championships of many competitive tournaments. When he was in Elementary school, Kataem would challenge his friends in freestyle Rap battles, loving the freedom of rhyme and delivering a message in a lyrical way. Influenced by the likes of Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and Eminem, he began to experiment with rhythm and even began to study the Art of Music itself. 

Kataem attended high school at Wexford Collegiate (a school for the Arts) where he was able to perform and develop his musical craft in front of large audiences while simultaneously building his television career. He is a talented triple threat artist, with the art of acting at the centre of his passion. Kataem is a humble yet dedicated young performer, who is no stranger to hard work.
